UTEP Wireless Network Login Help

To gain access to the UTEP wireless network, your card must be correctly configured.  If you need configuration help click on the Client Configuration page.

If your card is configured correctly, open a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, and attempt to go to your desired web site*.

* If you attempt to go to a website that begins with HTTPS the Bluesocket security console will not forward your request for security reasons and you will not be granted access to the network.  Ensure that the website that you first attempt to reach begins with HTTP.

You might receive a message that informs you that a security certificate has been issues by a company that you have not chosen to trust. Select **Yes to proceed.

** IF you are using the new IE 7 beta version, select the first option - No.

The UTEP wireless login page will appear in your browser allowing you to login to the network.

In the upper left hand area of the page, there is a place for your User Name and Password.

Enter your UTEP portal/webmail username and password and then click Log In.

Once you have successfully logged in, you will be forwarded to your requested web page.
